Young Thug – Rocket Man (Remix)
In 2015, Elton John initially uncovered himself as a Young Thug fan in a meeting with Noisey. A couple of months after the fact, it was accounted for that Thug had recorded a tune in light of Elton’s great “Rocket Man” in the wake of getting some unique stems from the artist. At the time, Fader’s source portrayed the Thug remix as “extremely surrounding and stunning… It’s all the instrumental, the guitar, piano; and Thug isn’t rapping, he’s singing.” Later that month, Thug and Elton took some amazing photographs together in the wake of getting together in Atlanta, yet we never got a report on the “Rocket Man” track. A week ago, another Thug venture, Slime Language, went back and forth with no indication of the tune, and it appeared, similar to quite a bit of Thug’s supposedly monstrous index of reserved music, it might never observe the light of day.
Today, the tune has surfaced on SoundCloud, as pointed out by Noisey. It includes a vocal example from the melody’s snare and in addition the piano harmonies, and discovers Thug dueting with Elton’s snare, before conveying a half-sung, half-rapped refrain that hits on some vocal thoughts you never thought you’d hear over an Elton instrumental. It’s an enthusiastic execution that finds the rapper dashing between subjects, squashing individual reflection with abnormal brags: “She let me back in like she never cried/She let me back in like I never lied/I resemble a feline with eleven lives.”
Tune in to the track underneath.
